Teens Voting Saint Paul Program
High school students from the St. Paul public, public charter and private schools will contemplated the strengths and weaknesses of the American electoral system. Students heard a panel discussion on the state of elections, campaigns, electoral systems and proposed reforms. Following the discussions and a questions and answer sessions, they were trained to conduct Kids Voting elections and voter registration drives in their schools.
Panelists will included:
- Stephen Arnott: Attorney at Law, former Australian diplomat
- Lisa Kramer: Elections Division, Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State
- Professor John A. Powell: Institute on Race & Poverty, University of Minnesota
- Tony Solgård: Chair, FairVote Minnesota
