Kids Voting Seeks Volunteers for Election Day In order to achieve the ambitious goal of allowing every
student in We rely on individuals, students (16 or older) interested in community service, as well as volunteers from businesses, civic groups, universities, service organizations, neighborhood organizations, clubs, charitable organizations, churches and synagogues to fill a variety of positions, they are: Poll Workers: on Election Day, these volunteers will set up Kids Voting polling booths, hand out ballots and pencils, familiarize them with the ballot, direct them to an empty voting carrel to vote, and generally help kids cast their votes in the 2008 Kids Voting election. There are two volunteer shifts on Election Day: Adopting-a-Precinct: Your organization, student youth, or school group, can “adopt” one or more of Sant Paul’s 104 precincts for Election Day, recruiting volunteers to staff the Kids Voting polling site. Adopting organizations are recognized at their polling site and in other Kids Voting publicity. Our community needs you.

By volunteering at a precinct for a few hours, you can give kids a positive and rewarding experience that will help spark a lifetime voting tradition. Our volunteers find their Kids Voting Election Day experiences rewarding and fun. It presents an opportunity to be a positive role model for kids that teaches them the importance that we adults place on our cherished American democratic values. And kids love to vote!
